Flamingo Hydra

In an attempt to go back to my roots of creature design, I decided to return to an old concept of mine that featured a bird hydra with its additional heads placed on its wings. I decided on the Flamingo as my bird of choice for this due to their weird beak and the extreme adaptations they have in reality - such as being able to live in hot, corrosive lakes. I also took inspiration from other birds which carry their young under their wings which then causes the mother bird to look like many-legged mutant.

As I was sketching out this idea I tried to think of it framed as a random boss one may run into in a souls-like game - A large monster living in a lake surrounded by some form of virus or corruption. Rather than getting its color from algae-eating shrimp, it gets it from eating corpses. When fought, its many arms may pick up random weapons from the remains of those who tried to fight it before you.
Same as a standard hydra, this hydra will grow new heads when old ones are cut off, but beyond a certain amount it will become more and more sluggish as it becomes unable to actually lift itself into the air, and eventually its legs give in as well. At this point, the player would have defeated the boss, but be unable to claim any loot until they return at a later time to find that the beast has starved..
